Dumps

Month of July

Open door

Been separated more

Viewing from the outside

Lingering less inside

Put me on the bright side

Where the sun shines

No matter the weather

My mind finds

Whether or not the time’s right

Shine on my midnight

Finding less

Listening more

A binded mess

With fewer doors

Where did you go?

I say

Although it was me

Who opened the door

Twenty Six

Going on Twenty Seven

Going on Nineteen

Going on Seven

Going on I think I know

To I can’t do anything

To I wish I’d move

To here is better

Twenty Six times

I said I’d be better

Maybe it’s better to wait

Til I’m Twenty Seven

Untitled

I guess

One good thing

About me

I always seem to focus

On something

Other

Than what’s in front

Of me

I guess I just

Don’t wanna be

In the place I am

Because the sunset

Is always prettier

In a memory

***

Claws

Put your claws in my back

I will get you back

With a scratch

From your chin

To your neck

Nibble on my nose

When your bowl isn’t full

I will rush to my feet

Almost still asleep

Entrust me with your life

I will love you with mine

I will be here all of yours

But you’ll be just a part

Of mine.

Earthquake

Inside

These hidden pages

You might find

A part of me

I tend to hide

Sometimes

To feel is overwhelming

So I do my best

To shut the doors

Turn off the lights

Hope to just dream

Straight through the night

It’s much easier

To not explain

Why I feel pain

As autumn begins

Or on my birthday

Why certain songs send

Me into internal earthquake

Sometimes I crack

At the foundation

It takes years to notice

Until the water begins flowing

Up to your knees

Finally, you ask

When did it get so deep?

Indian

The sun seems sadder

Later in the summer

It’s sphere feels softer

Like a face illuminated

By a campfire

It’s fiery orb burns oranger

As we inch toward october

Maybe it remembers

It must leave for the winter
